The 2025 FOPS Roadshow, held at Christchurch, Chorleywood, saw a high turnout despite coinciding with half term. By the end of the evening, 160 men had participated in PSA testing, with even more attending to listen to the talks. The evening featured two keynote presentations: Professor Veeru Kasivisvanathan provided a comprehensive overview of prostate cancer, including diagnosis and treatment, while Professor Mike Kirby delivered an engaging talk on men’s health and longevity. A panel Q&A session followed, with additional contributions from Julian Shah, Alvan Pope, Vimo Arumaham, and Victoria Muir. The event was efficiently organised by Hitesh, Rajula, and their team, who managed blood collection while the entertaining educational programme was underway.
Attendees enjoyed refreshments, and fundraising efforts led by Victoria were successful, generating significant contributions to FOPS to help cover our costs.
Our consultant urologists will speak with all individuals who have results that require follow-up. Continuing support is available during any further testing, diagnosis, and treatment, if necessary.
The success of the event was made possible by the dedication of volunteers and the support of Christchurch. Special recognition was given to Bob Arthy, FOPS founder, whose legacy continues to inspire the annual roadshow.
Plans are in place to hold the Roadshow again next year, along with a Men’s Health Day in the summer.
The FOPS supports men with prostate cancer and other urological conditions, raises awareness of prostate cancer, and helps to get men with prostate cancer diagnosed earlier, when there are better treatment options and outcomes.
The FOPS greatest accomplishment is that, working together, we have helped, and will keep on helping, men affected by Prostate Cancer (also known as 'Tiger Cancer') turn themselves away from their personal precipices and get their lives back together. Learn more...
