Report on our weekend at the Rickmansworth Canal Festival, May 2016 photographThanks to Joe, Brian, Ron, Dennis, Mike and Larry, the day before the Festival the gazebo and flags were standing proudly by 3pm. We were primed for our fourth two-day annual awareness campaign. The weather is always such a determining factor in our success at this event and thankfully we were blessed with two days of sunshine. Janet and the band performed as part of their 3 month programme of shows in the UK. Dear All, Although we were all very reluctant to leave the familiarity of 34, I am sure you would now admit The Junction is an altogether more accommodating venue. With 48 in attendance, I am not sure how we could have squeezed you all into 34. Having received several positive emails following the evening, I feel the decision to move house was a wise one. Petanque Memorial Charity Event photographOn Saturday 20th May 2017 the Harrow Petanque Club at Pinner View Sports Club will be hosting a Petanque charity event in Alan Leadbetter's memory. The one-off doubles match will start at 11am. It will be a match that will include beginners, Alan's neighbours and friends of other Petanque players. It will not be that formal, but a day of fun. All funds raised will be donated to the Paul Strickland Scanner Centre at Mount Vernon Hospital & action for M.E.
